How to Install the Feiyue DOL-12H Industrial Clutch Motor

Wrench or socket set
Screwdriver
Drive belt (included)
Power outlet (110V for DOL-12H)
Step 1: Prepare the Table
Turn OFF and unplug all power.
Tilt the sewing machine head back into the table cutout.
Make sure the table opening and mounting holes are clear.
Step 2: Mount the Clutch Motor
Position the DOL-12H clutch motor under the table with the pulley facing the machine handwheel.
Align the motor bracket with the table’s pre-drilled holes.
Insert mounting bolts from the top and loosely secure with nuts.
Do not fully tighten yet (belt adjustment comes next).
Step 3: Install the Drive Belt
Place the belt over the machine handwheel pulley.
Loop the other end over the motor pulley.
Slide the motor backward to create proper belt tension.
The belt should be firm, not overly tight.
Once aligned, fully tighten all mounting bolts.
Step 4: Align the Belt
Ensure the belt runs straight between the pulleys.
Rotate the handwheel by hand to confirm smooth motion.
Re-adjust motor position if needed.
Step 5: Install the Foot Pedal & Rod
Mount the foot pedal on the floor or pedal bar.
Connect the pedal rod from the pedal to the clutch arm on the motor.
Adjust rod length so:
Light pedal press = slow start
Full press = full speed
Step 6: Electrical Connection
Plug the motor into the correct 110V power outlet.
Ensure the power switch is easily accessible.
Keep cables secured and away from moving parts.
Step 7: Test the Motor
Lower the machine head back into position.
Turn the motor ON.
Slowly press the foot pedal.
Confirm:
Smooth engagement
No belt slipping
No unusual vibration or noise
Important Notes (Clutch Motor Use)
Clutch motors run continuously when ON
Speed is controlled by pedal pressure, not electronics
Louder than servo motors — this is normal
Ideal for high-speed, heavy-duty production
