How to Install a Professional Dress Form (Feiyue Missy Model)

This tutorial will guide you step by step through assembling and installing a professional dress form, such as the Feiyue Professional Dress Form – Missy. Assembly is straightforward and usually takes about 10–15 minutes.

What’s Included

  • Dress form torso

  • Metal base with caster wheels

  • Inner pole

  • Outer adjustable pole

  • Height-adjustment pedal (on applicable models)

  • Screws or bolts (if included)

Tools Needed

  • None in most cases

  • Optional: screwdriver or hex key (if screws are provided)

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Unbox and Organize

Carefully remove all components from the packaging.Lay them out on a flat surface and confirm that all parts are included before starting.

Step 2: Position the Base

Place the metal base on the floor with the wheels facing down.Ensure the base is on a level surface so the dress form will stand straight and roll smoothly.

Step 3: Insert the Inner Pole

Insert the inner pole into the center opening of the base.Push it down firmly until it is fully seated.If the base has a tightening screw or bolt, secure it now to prevent wobbling.

Step 4: Install the Outer Adjustable Pole

Slide the outer pole over the inner pole.This pole allows for height adjustment.Make sure it moves smoothly up and down before continuing.

Step 5: Attach the Dress Form Torso

Lift the dress form torso and carefully slide it onto the top of the outer pole.Press down gently until the torso sits securely and does not rotate loosely.

Step 6: Adjust the Height

If your model includes a foot pedal, press the pedal to raise or lower the form to your desired height.Release the pedal to lock the height in place.If there is a manual height lock, tighten it once the correct height is set.

Step 7: Final Stability Check

  • Ensure the torso is straight and secure

  • Check that the base rolls smoothly

  • Confirm the height adjustment locks properly

Your dress form is now ready for use.

  • Place the dress form on a flat, non-slippery surface.

  • Use padding if you plan to customize the fit for draping.

  • Test collapsible shoulders (if included) before dressing garments.
